Transition of Earth

AN ONUA NUVA AND TOPH FAN FIC

(no romantic infatuation between these two unless people call for it in later chapters)

Chapter1
'The beginning'

The hole was as deep as ever when climbing through it, Earth shovelling it's
way through his mechanincal feet into every tiny crevis it could
Onua LOVED it, the earth was his home, his food, shelter and warmth
and where all his best friends dwelled.

As he came crouching out of a hole in the wall into the largest cavern he'd seen all the
day (beings of onu-origin have an impeccible inner clock inside their heads), The spirit
nuva of earth came across a rahi of ta-koro origin, the smallest but cutest hoto bug,
he picked it up in his claws (ignore the fact that the toy didn't have claws) and it just wandered around in his hand until the shell opened up revealing 2 beautiful wings,
he lifted the creature into the air and it drifted into the shadow of the hole
Onua crawled out of.

"TOA, TOA ONUA NUVA" a response out of nowhere from a familiar mask

"Nuparu, what is it little friend" onua said in response

"A GIANT BLUE AND GOLD TITAN HAS WRECKED THE KINI IN CENTRAL ONU-WAHI
AND HE SAY'S HE'S LOOKING TO KILL TURAGA WHENUA!!!!"

"By Mata Nui, we must find the turaga, where is he?"

"i don't know, we haven't heard word of him, we thought he was with you inspecting the tunnels yesterday"

"aie, he was but for a few minutes, until he said he was going to the........kini"

"don't worry, the titan murmured that he hadn't found him when he destroyed the kini, but we must' "

"whats that rumble?" Onua felt an unnatural step in the earth, coming from one of the many holes surrounding the cavern he and Nuparu was in
"he, he, he............Toa Onua nuva, Spirit of Earth, reveal the wherabouts of your
elderly 'Whenua' and i won't kill you painfully, and send your limbs flying from your  Friends body", it was the most gravely and hideous voice to bounce off the wall of
Onu-Koro, most likely belonging to the future enemy of nuparu's ventures

"BRUTAKA, touch a mask of the onu-koronan, and........i will not hesitate to grind
you into, my earth."

"Don't dispense with words you Vako scrotum, just draw those weapons of yours!"
Brutaka had only violence in mind for the opponent facing him.

The 2 Enemies ran at each-other then the blades of brutaka drew with onua's quake saws, they pulled away and brutaka began thrashing rapidly at the earth spirit. Onua called upon the enormous power of his Pakari mask and swung his chainsaws at the brutish Brutaka, they clashed and Brutaka was battered away at the instant contact, but Brutaka is not one to fall down and not get up, he reared his blades and activated his Mask power, the power to unlock gates through, the fabric
of space and time, to change the targets fate and destination. All onua could do was draw his Kanohi Hau and hope the nuva could block dimensional gates,
But even the power of Hau nuva's shielding cannot protect him from fate. Brutaka
slashed his blade in Onua's direction to direct a gate and The Earth spirit fell through it, just as the Toa's of Stone, Water and Air appeared to see this
spectacular event, all they thought was that he was dead, and that he must be avenged, Brutaka's attack was powerful, but had tired him, he couldn't face 3 Toa
at once, he sent himself a less powerful portal to drag himself to kini nui's
underground, Makuta's old hideout.

The toa could not follow him, or their Earth brother, in their eyes, he was gone,
the truth was far stanger.

The portal that tired Brutaka so quickly sent the toa Onua, to what he could only
see was an open clear path that lead through a small wood, that didn't concern
Onua that much, what he did find concerning were the strange fleshling creatures
walking around, they were a bit shorter than him, but they were not matoran
Nor toa, and they had a fleshling wolf like reptile sniffing around, for food
(or trespassers). Yet he saw them moving the earth, and not making contact with it
He was truly not in the endless ocean anymore.

Onua was in no mood to be discovered and thrown into these ,peoples worries.
First things first, find a Disguise. The Kanohi Mahiki would have to do. He
shapeshifted into a cloaked 'person', and wandered off through the woods, he did
notice a large clearing in the distance, civilisation at last in what seems
to be a town filled with spring fountains shining in the light. And a
town sign saying 'ZUMI'. he walked off towards the Town, off to meet his Fate.

To meet this new earth.



Somewhere a few miles west.

"AANG, AANG, TWINKLE TOES GET UP OR I'LL SHOVE YOU AND YOUR TENT
DOWN UNDERGROUND IN THE DARK AGAIN"
This loud threat was just what would get the young avatar out of bed
'i hate it when she does that' he thought as he jumped from his sheet
and pulled his pants and shirt on.
"i can't believe it, only a few weeks passed since we were in the fire nation
after we left the earth kingdom, and it feels like a completely different place"
sokka said this without putting thought into who was incharge of the Capital
of the Kingdom.
"Must be the new management" Zuko blurted out without thinking, sokka gave hysterical fit, aang gave a little smirk before seeing the look of sheer hatred
that covered Katara's face, and he went immediatly back to his (seemingly) bland
face, toph on the other hand found it just as funny as sokka, she even gave Zuko
a great big friendly punch on the shoulder, zuko was finally beginning to make
friends with his 'acquaitences'.

"Well, wheres our first stop?" Suki questioned as 'map-man' pulled out his
magic bag of wonderous papers.

"A small town east to collect the tools we need, called Zumi, looks like aspring fountain town" Sokka replied, and noticed a twinkle in aang and katara's eyes
of finally seeing a spring town, ever since there run-in in the desert

"still can't believe it, the rough rhinos, chased us right to the most east fire nation
harbour until we stole that boat, and no-one stopped us"Katara said in repsonse

"Did you notice there were 2 more members in there squad?"

"so fire lord Ozai's recruiting more hunters, it's not like he wants us breaking out
our soldier buddies from the invasion"Teo felt he needed to say this to the team

"It's just they didn't seem human, i swear i could here more then 2 sets of steps
from the 2 new hunters only"katara replied

"well there are now 6 hunters katara"sokka replied sarcastically,

"but i swear, and what person has a hunch back twice there height in legnth?!?"

"your not suggesting a spirit monster"aang said in defence of his position as bridge between the worlds

"no but,...huh'.... i guess it was just fear when we were backed to the corner of the bay"

"now your using your noggin' katara, c'mon time to move" sokka said to end the
conversation, the avatar and his band packed camp and began their flight to
the spring fountain town.

Fate now awaits destiny aswell.
